Surprised no one posted about this.

Was it Ron or Timmay that referred to him at San Antonio Homes?

Ron I believe. Speaking of which. Where has he been?

I'm still pissed we gave him away.... What could have been but the owner had to stick his head where it does not belong.

You know Holmes is a 3 catches for 59 yard guy over his career, right? With us and with the Jets. We didn't lose much--one playoff run aside.

Working inside in that offense with Marshall pulling coverage and the kid on the other side getting at least a bracket, Holmes should feast on single coverage from the fourth best DB. Problem is he frequently saw that here and in NY and only under the limelight of the playoff did he beat it.

There is obviously something wrong with him mentally. He might get some help just being around Marshall and hearing his story.

I have great respect for your football knowledge, Veritas.

I am going to disagree with your post on Holmes.

In his last season with the steelers (2009), holmes had 1248 yds receiving.

In 2007, he averaged 18.1 yds per reception.

He was a great talent. A fantastic open field runner. Came up big vs the ravens often when we needed him most. Clutch. The perfect sandlot receiver for Ben.

Look what he did in the Legendary Drive in the SB, not just the final catch.

He played wr for us some years when we had serious OL issues which hurt his and ben's numbers (depending on which numbers you want to look at of course)

Dude blew up the '08 playoffs. He owned XLIII like Swann owned X.

Marissa Miller was voted #1 hottest chick by Maxim in 2008. I vote we go with her.

Havoc there is no disputing that when Holmes wants to, he can be great. He has talent. And he did have a great year that year. He just doesn't show up every game.

The real Holmes is a guy that most teams put him in single coverage on a lower tiered DB and swing coverage to other threats. Go back and look at Holmes game logs you see a lot of 1 and 2 catch performances and not a lot of 7+ catch games I think over his career he has less than 5 -100 yard games. Go and look at that Miami game when the Jets were "win and you're in" and he came up 0 for 0 against Miami's 4th best corner- in single coverage.

Some people here think I have a bent on the guy, and maybe I do because I wanted him to play like he did in the playoffs that year--all the time. The drops ,the missed assignments, the disappearances in games are all the things one has to look at even in the light of that playoff run

I'm with Vertitas.

And don't forget the dude was one wake and bake away from a year-long suspension when we traded him.

And that he's a known locker room cancer, indicated by this lovely quote from a NYJ player: “He’s a cancer. It’s like dealing with a 10 year old."
