Tell you else was very talented and a very positive person: Al Jarreau RIP.

That's video is cheesy but he really does touch the face of God at about 2:15-2:25.

Michael Jackson, his songs weren't the greatest IMO, but who put on a greater overall show, meaning set, props, costumes, dance, choreography etc. The dude needed painkillers that caused his death because he beat himself up working on dance moves for his shows.

She's good! I don't know her songs, but I like her! And she's NOT fat! LOL

I'm hoping they hire Mariah Carey next year for record ratings...everyone waiting to see the train wreck.

The Who was my favorite Super Bowl show, not because they where great on that day as old men, but JUST BECAUSE I like The Who :D

I like the Who as well but let's face it, they're just too old to pull it off anymore. It can be argued that the band really died with Moon, and the proof of that is Live at Leeds, which you should listen to repeatedly JUST FOR THE DRUMMING.

Great rhythm section ever with Entwhistle, and sorry without those two it's just not the Who.

Katy Perry is pure shit. How the fuck did they even consider her for a halftime show? They must have been desperate that year.

I would love to see a Metal related halftime show instead of all the popular [little musicianship more performer] hip hop/pop culture stuff. [Not Mesoldoutica either] although they did recently do a collaboration with GaGa. Change it up. JMO

I can imagine Ozzy, Korn even Slayer but it is likely Never to happen.

I can't bc none of those acts have the global let alone national pull and popularity. The SB is watched by a cross section of all the demographics and they want a band that cuts across all those sections. Geezer thrash acts from the 80s and numetal has beens from the 90s/ early 00s don't do that. Metallica is the closest out there to metal still going that would get consideration. AC/DC in the 80s-00s is the only true heavy rock contender that had a chance. Surprised they never played it.

Hey but those, 10,000 of 100 million viewers that like Slayer would be loving it though!

Aerosmith, Kid Rock and some others have played in the halftime show. Metallica would be a great choice. They have fans worldwide, for sure.

Bring back Bocephus!

He could do Country Boys Can Survive, the old MMF theme...and probably a few covers with some other bands.

OK, maybe not the headline act but find a way to work him in with some other lead group.

Aerosmith... love their older stuff. Not even close to Metal. Kid Rock Is A Joke! Poser!

I've always found the heavy/ death metal heads to be real sensitive types. I guarantee this guy loves Slayer

I mentioned Kid Rock because he actually has performed at the SB. Slayer has as much chance of performing at halftime as Charred Walls of the Damned.

I wouldn't mind seeing Billy Joel (so long as he didn't play Piano Man).

Go ahead and laugh. Guy can still sing and has a lengthy playlist that would be fun for the SB.

She's so much better without all the over the top hype and fluff. She doesn't need to be Outkast.

The Tony Bennett songs and jazz/Carole KIng experiments are the best thing she's done.

You think it's possible that she's made her fortune and is now going to focus on just being an artist?

Hope so. She could sell out Vegas for the next fifty years without burning herself out in an "Evening With" format rather than the Britney Spears high energy format.
