Cowher just did not sign them and let them go into FA and get the comp picks.

That was more what I remembered. The Chin was good at assessing when to cut bait on a guy, though, for the most part. Woodson being a notable exception.

He is playing for Cleveland, though, and that has broken the spirit of better men than Collins.
