Cut by #Chargers and #Vikings since March, CB Derek Cox is back on the market again. Hearing #Ravens will take a look. https://twitter.com/TomPelissero/status ... 3513204736

CB Derek Cox has new home. He is set to sign with Ravens today, per source. Spent camp with Vikings, last season with Chargers. https://twitter.com/UTgehlken/status/504628042883694593

Derek Cox? The same guy Vikes and Chargers couldnt get rid of quick enough? The Ravens didnt solve their 3rd CB issue at all with this guy. He is the Cam Thomas of CBs. Here is an article that does a decent job highlighting lad's issues:

Serious based on one ok season with a bad team and few options outside Vincent Jackson in passing game? He is also a horrendous blocker. As oppose to an OG with pro bowl ability that was the glue of one of the better inside running games in the league? Just because they gained a seam threat will that make up for a deficit in run blocking and pass pro? Im not opposed to the idea of Pats trading a major piece on their team I question the player they targeted. Brady has a very small window left to compete and the lack of a seam/red zone hasnt been the Pats issue. Go watch the Pats v the Jets and Ravens in playoffs. They jam the receivers and force Brady to throw the ball into tighter and tighter windows. The best way to push a D back is a down the field threat. Tim Wright aint it. Neither was Hernandez.

Points are well taken, but I said "can" be. He put up good numbers on a shitty team with bad QB play in his rookie year. Still a prospect, but a ton of upside as a receiving threat.

Aye fair enough. Biggest objection with upside and potential is Brady is 37 not 27. You have to wonder if a HOF QB wants players with potetnial v proven vets he can trust. Additionally I'll continue to harp on what I consider a huge fail by Belichek until proven otherwise: before and since Moss the Pats have had multiple opportunities to spend draft picks on blue chip WRs for well over a decade and also had opportunities to sign WRs in FA. Belichek has ignored both avenues and imho that is flat out dumb.

Only reason Pats made the deal was cap. Lovie got A STEAL.

NFLPA lawyer should be sued for malpractice.

The pats have 15M in cap space after the deal. That is adding the 12.5M in dead money to their cap.

Christ, it's "BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!" on CNN that the Rams cut Sam. Now here comes the media backlash painting the NFL and the Rams as homophobes and purveyors of injustice and bigotry.

If the Rams were homophobes and purveyors of injustice and bigotry, they probably wouldn't have drafted him in the first place.

I wonder what happened to him between his time in Kansas City when he seemed like he was starting to develop into a real weapon and now. I can't imagine the Bills would be cutting him loose if he still resembled the guy he looked like with the Chiefs.

I guess there's a Haley connection there, so the Steelers could very well bring him in for a look.

Injury (hamstring) was a medical settlement.

Wes Welker suspended 4 games for violating drug policy. Apparently he popped Molly that had been cut with amphetamines at the Kentucky Derby.

His defense was the same as Josh Gordon and got the same results. I think it is interesting that this is his 2nd offense. I can not recall what his first was.
