And you guys thought I was crazy for saying that Burfict's hit on Bell in 2015 was dirty. The OP is about tin-foil hat crazy.

I don't think taking out Brady does it. Gotta chop off the head - Belichick. Then Tomlin and the Steelers might have a chance at another Lombardi. Until then, Belichick owns Tomlin.

Other than Sexy Rexy, Tom Coughlin, and on a really good day Pete Carrol (sp?), who does Belichick not own? He beats EVERYONE with REGULARITY, not just Tomlin. The only team in the NFL that has a winning record against him is the NYG.

I think Harbaugh has beat Belichick twice? Not sure about that, but Belichick's all time record against Ravens is, I believe, 8-3 in his favor. Harbaugh is not some kind of Pats kryptonite. NE spotted them two ST scores this year and still beat their ass.

His two wins were in the playoffs, though.

And their 33-14 beatdown of the Pats in the 2009 playoffs...IN FOXBORO, mind you...is the Pats' worst playoff loss in the Belichick/Brady era.

Beat me to it, Jeemie. Maybe Tomlin will finally beat Belichick in the playoffs. Maybe pigs will fly.

I see, it's down to playoffs.

Well, my point remains that Tomlin is hardly Belichick's only doormat.

Denver and Harbaugh have been recent problems. Nothing else has. Certainly not Pitt.

I suggest that Rooney should go to the Harbaugh tree and pluck a Harbaugh. Such coaches are ample in abundance. Only the stupid Steeler way holds us back from having our own Harbaugh. We need the balls to fire Tomlin bc the odds of hiring a better coach are high.

Hey- I'd trade never beating the Pats in the regular season for smoking their asses in the playoffs twice, and losing two competitive games to them, where I had a chance to win both games at the end, any day of the week and twice on Sunday- is all I'm saying.

That's the Ravens' playoff record against the Brady/Belichick Patriots. All the games in Foxboro- and a hair's breadth from being 4-0 against them there.

That is WAY better than Tomlin's record against them in the post-season (and IIRC, the Ravens' regular season matchups against New England have been close affairs as well).

I'm not saying to fire Mike Tomlin, but obviously his approach to the Patriots needs to be re-thought.

You'd think with as many (bad) loses they've had against the pats, re-thinking their approach would have happened long ago. I'm not holding my breath, especially when they've admitted that they don't have the talent on defense to compete with Brady.

As we saw in 2011, when they have the talent to do so, they play the Pats the right way. Here's to better defensive talent.

The sad part is that Belicheat owns everyone mainly by not being a predictable moron.

And I think cheats his ass off. Nothing blatant or obnoxious, just a sort of "death by 1000 cuts". He pushes the limits of the rules to his advantage. That's more balls than brains, daring you to throw the flag - they run pick plays to perfection and, at this point, the refs can't flag the offense multiple times much less every play. The reason his assistants - much less anyone else - haven't copied that offense is because NE is reffed differently and you can't have that.

If you wrote a script of "what would happen" with Lance Armstrong in the NFL...this is it.

Can we run pick plays all game long too or is that just not going to work with our personnel?

Are "they" not also responsible for said talent on defense?

It could also be that Lebeau was the one who decided to play the Pats different in that game.

Our "plan" in the AFCCG was as bad as they get. That all can't be laid at the feet of the players.

We weren't getting to Brady with Heywardless Tuitt, younguns Dupree and Hargrave, and 54 year old Harrison regardless of what scheme they played.

I guess we will never know.

I do know we led the league in sacks down the stretch by being aggressive. Not sitting back in coverage. Goes back to the dance with the one that brought ya...

The plan we rolled with had no chance of success. It was elementary.

James Harrison played great last year. No he wasn't 2008 James Harrison, but just the same give the man some credit. Your point is taken, but you didn't need to demean Harrison in the process.

54% of those sacks came in three games against Cleveland and Buffalo.

I'm not demeaning Harrison, I'm sure he played well for his age. But at his age, he is not the guy we want leading our pass rush against the likes of Brady.

He played better than any LB on the Steelers all year. Maybe not saying much, but there it is. Yes, I agree they need new blood to lead the charge. Dupree may be the guy. I hope so.

And the other 46%, every team makes hay against the dregs of the league. BTW, Bills were 10th in the league in scoring.

We're not talking about other teams in the league. We are talking about the Patriots.
