Smoke weed -- get suspended for a year. Maliciously target back of a head after the play was over? Anyone want to bet he isn't suspended even for a week.

Tomlin is a players coach - Rooney’s are great people - they should be able to fix guys like this. We need all the coverage DB’s we can get, including turds.

I would take that bet

NFL is very afraid of head injury litigation

Wouldn't be surprised to see them come down very hard on this flagrant act, especially since it resulted in a concussion and was a non-football hit, after the play, and flagrant.

Big fine and a suspension.

I would love to have Peters too. 42 games played, 21 turnovers (17 INTs, 4 FR) and he scored 3 TDs to go along with 52 passes defensed. When people defend Burns for getting burned they counter that he makes up for it with big plays. Wha? Artie Burns is no Marcus Peters.

Burns has played in 27 games, 5 turnovers (3 INTs, 2 FR) with 0 TDs and 20 passes defensed. I take Peters over Burns easily. At least Peters plays with passion has some swagger, Burns plays scared.

I hope my comment isn’t being misconstrued to mean I wouldn’t like Peters on our team. I very much wanted him to fall to the Lers’ last year.

Just saying he left the UW in less than ideal circumstances (not that he cares) Petersen is a great coach but couldn’t get to Peters.

All that said, he’s a tremendous talent. Great pick by Chiefs (who now look shitty)

Every year everyone comes on here speaking of the demise of Flacco and the ravens...every year except 1 in recent history, they are on steelers tails for the division.

Big game tmrw...lose that one and you might see two 9-5 teams in the afc north after the pats game.

Chicken little or whatever machismo false bravado y'all like to use....I for one will feel much more comfortable if they take care of business tmrw night.

I live in KC, you aren't paying attention. He tackles like a 78 year old woman with polio and he is a stupid fuck. Other than that, I agree with you.

Historically we usually split with Baltimore. Always makes me laugh when people forget this

Nor would I, we have Artie Burns who has yet to make his first fucking tackle this year.

I would take Peters, than toss Burns out on the street.

Here's where you and I differ, Suwanee. I just want to win, by whatever means necessary, and don't care about excuses. I hope Brady slips on a banana peel, breaks his fuckin' leg pre-game.

As for Gronk, no way is he suspended for two games. That being the case, I hope he's not suspended at all, strains his back in Miami next week, misses our game due to injury.

Fuck that. I hope the entire cheats team gets the flu followed by food poisoning and breaks an ankle as well.

A W is all that matters

Rooting for injuries may be SBI, but it's not a Steelers Fan's Best Interest.

What about suspension? One of the dirtiest plays I’ve seen. NE has a history of truly dirty plays (not hard hitting but intentional attempts to injure, see eg wilfork and JP Losman).

I do not root for suspensions because that would imply rooting for a player do something suspendable. If a player does something suspendable, then I think the player should be suspended.

I agree KCSteeler, he has that Deangelo Hall tackling syndrome - all he wants to do is try and strip the ball out, not actually tackle/hit someone. He also gets burnt pretty regularly, not that Artie hasn't recently. He's a hot-head, rogue DB imo, but Peters does get pics and PDs though, I'll give him that. I will say, his first year he was on good behavior it seemed, but now his true colors are showing. Maybe he should play for Cincy, would fit right in there, imo.

Eric Berry covered for a lot of Peters' gambling. And Peters is leading the NFL in penalty yards, fwiw.

I guess it depends on the respective fan, Lit. Agreed?

An argument for consideration that (tries to) avoids appealing to subjectivity.

The win is of objectively higher quality if the competition is objectively better.

Hence, beating teams playing at full strength are more quality wins.

Perhaps you only care about quantity of wins rather than quality.

But I would argue in terms of pleasure as well. The higher the quality, the higher the pleasure in the win.

There is a reason why beating the Pats would feel better than beating the Browns.

So in terms of quality and pleasure, your version of SBI possibly seeks the lesser good except in terms of quantity.
