Contrary to many here, I think the Pirates have their strongest off-season roster in many years this year.

All-Star level OF at every position

Solid IF at every position, with potential excitement at 1B if Pedro steps up and re-finds his swing.

Pitching staff, as it has been every year with Huntington, is solid, and will likely get better as the season approaches.

Losing Rmart will be the biggest blow. 2 years ago when we signed him, many were shocked at the big price tag NH paid, but obviously he knew who he wanted and went out and got him. NH did the same thing with Cervelli, going after the same team again (Yanks). Let's hope the result is even half as good.

Even coming off 2 playoff seasons, I think this roster is stronger than any we had in the offseasons leading up to those 2 seasons.

Haters gonna hate

But espn has us ranked 3rd best team in all of baseball going into next season

I think the baseball experts also see that we have our strongest offseason lineup in many years

Its really no surprise to me because I think it's pretty obvious if u can be objective -- but many can't

He's our exciting new rookie who will make the AS game and be a HOFer

4th and 5th Starters are the biggest concern.

I haven't given up on Locke entirely, Jeckyl and Hyde pitcher.

The sooner Glasnow steps in for Vogelsong the better off we are likely to be.

Don't think Taillon is ready this year but who knows.
