Polanco is going to see that until he proves he can hit lefties.

I think he'll come around. He's not looking overmatched against them...is getting solid wood on the ball.

Rockies have the Pirates right where they want 'em.

Bases loaded and less than two outs.

Yeah- after I calmed down, I realized they probably had to send Cutch...it was a picture perfect throw.

BTW, does anybody else have mlb.tv?

The feeds seem pretty fucked up tonight- and I am reasonably sure it's not my Internet.

Here we go...potential run comes in while our best reliever (who admittedly has been shaky lately, but still...) is riding pine.

I still didn't like calling in a pinch hitter just to bunt, though.

Right now these guys a pretty much conditioned to be one inning guys now. Not physically, but mentally. The only guys going multiple innings are the long/middle men. Watson and Wilson used to be guys that went more than 3 outs last year, but not now. I don't know why Hurdle did it this way this year. Probably has to do with Wilson's struggles and Watson settling in as the primary set up man. I don't like it at all though. I thought he had way more flexibility last year with a pen full of multi-inning relievers.

With all the reliance they have on statistics & math, there's probably some "Hidden Vigorish" in it somewhere that's not intuitively obvious.
