The guy is just a cesspool of everything bad about a human

Bernard was in his first play of contact drills since surgery, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer, and Burfict dove right at his knees. Absolutely incredible. Here’s the video from Jay Morrison of the Cox Media Group:

I don't think I'd call that an "attempt to injure", and he definitely didn't "dive right at his knees" (he clearly hit Bernard in the side of the hip, then dropped down).

But yeah, tackling a RB who is coming off ACL surgery in a non-contact drill is pretty bad form.

Burfict is a scumbag that shouldn't even be in the league.

I'm waiting for Karma. Karma should bite this asshole in the dick sometime soon. Maybe a career ending injury.

I don't believe in karma. But making bad decisions your entire adult life will eventually bite you in the dick.

He may just be a Joe Mixon fan and was trying to open up a spot for his roll-dawg.

or maybe that plan now is scrapped

Quote:
Joe Mixon exits practice with possible foot injury
Josh Alper
ProFootball Talk on NBC Sports•Aug 3, 2017, 4:49 PM

The early days of Bengals running back Joe Mixon‘s first NFL training camp has gone well enough that Geoff Hobson of the team’s website thinks he can be a “a 15-to-20-carry-a-game guy” at the start of the regular season.

For that to happen, Mixon has to be healthy and he may not be after leaving Thursday’s practice early.

Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Mixon had his left foot checked out by trainers after “gingerly” making his way off the field. Mixon took off his pads and sat down on a cart a short time later, signaling that he was done for the day.

There’s no word from the team at this point about Mixon’s condition and he likely has some time with the medical staff ahead of him before there will be any further word.

If all checks out OK, Mixon will likely be back on the path to a healthy dose of playing time early in his rookie season. If not, the Bengals will likely turn back to Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard in the backfield.

My parents have always been big on the Karma is a bitch or what goes around comes around. They'll eventually get what they deserve.

I have always been hung up on the "eventually part." Fuck that shit. More people need a good ole fashioned punch to their face or knee taken out, career ender type shit.

Just look up "Instant Karma" in google for vids. There are plenty. It doesn't have to be eventually.

Leopard never changes his spots

I missed this but he's facing more time off for his animal behavior

Vontaze Burfict - LB - Bengals
Bengals WLB Vontaze Burfict is facing a five-game suspension for an illegal hit on Chiefs FB Anthony Sherman earlier this preseason.
Burfict is appealing, but his chances of beating the suspension seem low considering his history of illegal hits. That history also explains why Burfict is facing a lengthy suspension rather than a one- or two-game ban. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Burfict's appeal hearing will take place next week. Burfict has looked outstanding in preseason games after reporting to camp in the best shape of his life. He is the best player on a Bengals defense that will also be without top CB Adam Jones in Week 1 due to a one-game suspension.

Interesting.

Guess who the Bengals play in their sixth game of the season?

Three guesses...two don't count.

Oh...and their sixth game comes after a bye week...so Burfict will have an extra week to get ready.

Burfict also sustained a concussion in the game last night. So his brain is further scrambled and I think they should ban him for his own future health

As I understand it, this is a new rule where the defenseless receiver rule covers receivers who are away from the ball. Whereas before it had to be the target of the pass.

You're mostly right, in theory. But this is a rule that NFL is definitely going to fuck up. Because that's just what they do.

How hard is it to understand not to hit a player near the head while they are on a pass route?

especially when the ball is sailing over their head 35 yards downfield.

Burfict is dangerous and should be suspended for a year. Considering MB got a year. . . the cognitive dissonance makes my head hurt.
