Will be taking the ride out to Heinz for the game on Sunday.

Driving out with my two boys and two of their friends Saturday morning.
They talked me into Standing Room Only tickets back in June.
$50 a ticket.
They really did not have to bend my arm behind my back much at all........
Have to grab any opportunity for Steeler road trips as I just hit the half century mile marker this past August.
About a 375 mile drive from North East, NJ hoping to get there 2:00 ish.

Anybody ever buy SRO tickets?
I have not been to Heinz since they filled in additional seats in the open end.
Is there still standing room at the top or is the plaza now down low behind those new seats?

Was also think of watching game from one of the circular exit ramps, Which may even have a better view than the last few rows of the corners or last rows of the North end?
And eventually find some seats.

The boys usually like to try and hit Bettis 36 Grill, but that place is usually too long of a wait.
Any suggestions for Saturday afternoon and evening. Still have an 18 year old as the young one of the trip.
Station Square, Market Square, Strip District, somewhere else?

Whats the famous Pizza place some of you guys talk about?

Would also like to go up one of the inclines.
Which one has more going on at the top or bottom?
I see the Monongahela may have more going on at bottom....but quieter up top?

Is there more going on up top of the Duquense Incline?

Is there a trolly or bus or shuttle that runs up and down Carson Street?

Good game day parking?
I parked in a small lot corner of Stanwick and BLVD of Allies a few years ago for a Pirates Dodgers game on way to Bettis HOF weekend.
I would think the Gateway Clipper is the ferry that takes fans from Station Square to Heinz?
And I see a parking deck and lots right there. That get crowded?

Any thoughts or suggestions and you start out the Score Game with one point on Sunday. LOL.

I don't know much about the incline. I did the station square thing for my wife's first game and we took the clipper. Yes, the Gateway Clipper. Parking is easy and available in the garage right beside where you get on the boat. I will caution, that after the game there is quite a line of people to take the boats back across the river. Usually a bit of a wait and would suck in cold weather. You could be standing in line for 45 minutes unless you book it over there and beat the crowd. I prefer to park in a lot downtown. There are a ton of places to grab some food and the walk over is nice, beer in hand. We've always had good luck at the RedBeard's downtown. I've stood on the rotunda for a home game before. They are much better than the last rows of the north end. Especially when the row is filled with fat yinzers squeezing 20 inch seat spacing down to 8 inches. I recall that we didn't get there very early at all and there was still room on the rotunda. If you're there 20 minutes before kickoff, you're golden. It's a good view and exactly where I'd go with standing room only tix.

Hey Stosh.....I'll be in the house as well, with my boy (he's 24), who's 9-0 at Steeler games. I'm actually picking him up in NYC, the proceeding onto Pittsburgh on Friday.

Few things....
*Totally agree with RS about parking downtown.....for about 8 bucks, walking over. Plus, walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge is nice, right next to PNC Park.
*If you get to Bettis's early enough....it's fine. Last year, I was in the door by 9am, and no problem....could probably get there by 9:45 or so, still be fine.
*Vincent's Pizza....412-271-9181....Ardmore Boulevard, take Parkway East to Forest Hills/Wilkinsburg exit. It's the one past the Swissvale exit as you're driving away from downtown. It dumps you right onto Ardmore Boulevard....start looking for it on the right once you past the intersection with Yost Boulevard. Do NOT go there on Saturday night....it WILL fuck with your system if you've not had it before. My suggestion...grab a couple on the way out...wait until you're close to home to dig in.
*Saturday night....it's Penguins-Predators. I'll be there; you should too.

Got my brother's tix, Stosh.

Check out Penguins website. There's three together for $78/ticket and up.

Just noticed there's five of you. Might not get five together but prob 3+2 in back to back rows. Check Pens website.

He could lose his season tickets for re-selling to a fan of the visiting team!

I kid, I kid.
