Next 2 games will be a big test for the defense.

And please stay out of the Penalty Box tonight.

This will be a tough game to win. Caps are still fuming after watching us hoist the cup again last season.

It was fun watching that Golden Knights game last night. Emotions were running high but they have built a solid team and MAF looks good in net.

Blues are legit. So are Blackhawks.

Pens need to bring their A game every night because teams are gunning for them big time.

Meh...Vancouver started 4-0 last year. Really hard to read into anything at this point.

Passing on the PP has been terrible.

Nice early dance gents.... I see the Caps revamped budget bin defense is playing up to expectations.

The perimeter game on the PP is terrible but the effort around the net has been outstanding.

This 'new' slashing rule is lame. Might as well chop away with authority cause they are going to call everything.

Entertaining period.
Both goalies were good especially Murray the second half of the period.

Schultz got some PP love with Malkin and Kessel at the end of the last PP.

The new rules are dumb this year. That was hardly a tap to get that PP. The new face off wrinkle as well.

Pens look faster than last year and I think that is for two reasons: McKegg is always moving and he is faster than Bonino and Cullen. Secondly, Hagelin is healthy.

Hags has caused them all sorts of problem this game. Just been everywhere. Reminds me of why I laughed when some people claimed he's overpaid.

He might be our best asset for a trade though.

Yeah, that's always going to be his achilles heel, it seems.

I had trouble handling that wrister from Ovie in the first that nearly led to a goal, too. I know Ovie has a helluva shot and all, but if you're an NHL goaltender and the puck hits the inside of your glove, it absolutely can't come back out.

I had hoped last year's problems were from a the rumored hand injury, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Still, though, the rest of his game is great enough that I'll take that one weakness.

Is that two PPG in one game for the Pens? At least there will be good ice down there if Reaves kills Tom Wilson tonight.

Great early season win by the Birdies. Murray played great. PP was efficient.

I think Kegger is going to stick.

I like Rowney too. It’s going to be interesting to see what JR is going to do at C. Man, Reaves looks slow as hell out there.
