Could easily have been 10. He made some good saves, but his form just looks weird to me.

I was thinking the exact same thing Orangesteel. He looks so weird in goal. Like he is stiff and scared. Our defense has been shit though with him in net. It's like they want to see him fail or something.

My old refrain...I don't know shit about hockey.....but, Neimi seems to be the opposite of Murray. I was at the Arena last Saturday for a Murray shutout that was unspectacular. Dude most always seems to be positionally correct. Neimi...this fuckin' guy seems like he's on the ice in sneakers, not skates. Last night was the first time I saw him play.

Bob Errey said pregame this matchup, under the circumstances, had 5-4 game written all over it, Hilariously accurate.

Ha what a call by Errey.

Re: Niemi, the Pittsburgh announcers kinda nailed it last night. The one timer “save” Niemi made on Stamkos was impressive but it looked as much luck as skill. He tends to bury himself in net and sometimes the puck just “hits” him rather than it being a save.

I dunno. I’m not sold on this guy and think the Pens should be testing the market.

We haven't seen nearly the best of this team with the exception of the game at Washington. They are going to need more time to jell and work on the overall team defense.
Funny, but it seems like they are still in preseason working out things. Sound familiar?

Niemi has two starts, one in Chicago and the other in Tampa. Both on the road and both opponents SC favorites. I want to see him at PPG and a few more games before we declare him unfit.

Anyone else notice that Crosby and Malkin are both out the gate with slow starts offensively? Both have been very good in their own end but they haven't imposed their will like they are capable of.

I like everything I have seen of Rust so far. He looks to me like the player that took the next step. I'd move him back to a line with Malkin and Kessel.
