Bring your big boy pants, the Panthers were all over the Birdies just a week ago in Pittsburgh.

Penguins projected lineup

Jake Guentzel -- Sidney Crosby -- Conor Sheary

Bryan Rust -- Evgeni Malkin -- Phil Kessel

Carl Hagelin -- Greg McKegg -- Patric Hornqvist

Tom Kuhnhackl -- Carter Rowney -- Ryan Reaves

Brian Dumoulin -- Kris Letang

Olli Maatta -- Chad Ruhwedel

Ian Cole -- Justin Schultz

Matt Murray

Antti Niemi

Scratched: Scott Wilson, Josh Archibald, Zach Trotman

Injured: Matt Hunwick (concussion)

Ryan Reaves: what is his role with the team?
Enforcer, yes.
Physical presence, sure.
Chip in a goal here or there, able to play on any line, not so far.

Reaves has played in all the games so far but he has not seen more than 7 minutes in any game. He also had two games where he only played about 3 minutes.
Add in that he has played one shift with Crosby, two with Malkin and a sprinkling with Guentzel and Rust and you have a player that right now is strictly a fourth liner. I don't believe he has played one shift with Kessel.
I bring this up because(me included) most of thought he might be a replacement for Kunitz. So far Sullivan hasn't given him a chance at anything but a few shifts per period.

I'm not disappointed yet but I would hope he could be more than just a fourth liner for us.

Reaves is 30th in the league in the 'hits' category, which leads the team.

Not a strong start for the birdies.

They even butcher a 2 on nothing in front of Lou.

I think that second goal woke the Pens up but they still have zip for OZ possession.

Everyone on that unit made plays. It was beautiful to watch.
