Probably not....comment was really in response to a so-called Steeler fan saying that regardless of SBI, he would always root against the Ravens. Some here have felt the same way about the Cowboys. To me, gotta go with SBI. I still think SBI was for Ravens to win, if only slightly. I saw only two teams, Chefs and Ravens, capable of beating Patriots in Foxboro during Divisional Round. Now, that field is done to only the Chefs. It would have been Chefs vs. Ravens next week though, so prob wouldn't have mattered. Ill be pissed though, if Titans beat Chefs, and go into Foxboro.

So-called?

Really, Swiss.

I would invite you to consider things in terms of SFBI, namely, in terms of quality, pleasure, and not being a pussy fan.

Your putting the priority on SFBI (which is Steelers Fan Best Interest), rather than SBI is all anyone needs to know, thus your being a so-called fan rings true. Your priority is your own entertainment, not the team's best interest going forward.

If you were not entertained, you would not watch.

Pussy fan AND a hypocrite. My o' my!

Again....applying your standards. I guess now it's up to me to prove you wrong, Professor?

I've always said....don't really enjoy these games, suffer through and hope we're happy in the end. I know that's beyond the scope of your understanding.

Again...you're the guy that's on record as....
*NOT going all in on SBI
*Decrying Steelers play-calling, not because it wasn't effective, but because it was "boring as fuck."

SBI. Is beating the next team in front of us. Instead of worrying about some elusive monster. We should be worried about not getting another 40 burger put up on us from J Ville.

I like the Ravens loss both on a personal amusement level, and with SBI in mind. For me SBI always comes first. As I stated early on in this thread, my feeling is that the wild card AFC weekend just became a lot clearer. Avoided is a back-to-back divisional south battle and a Chiefs Ravens affair that would probably leave the winner slightly less likely to beat NE. Both of those games would have had Vegas lines way smaller than what you’ll see this weekend. And as a potential (now completely hypothetical) opponent, I’d rather play the Chiefs in the AFCCG than the Ravens. SBI in my opinion because the Ravens know us so damn well and almost a given it would be a field goal game. Now it’s all fucking moot anyway.

Unrealistic SBI at this point are upsets by the Titans and Bills, with the Bills going to NE, kicking some patriot ass and visiting us at Heinz for a trip to the Super Bowl. More realistically: come up with a sound game plan for Jacksonville, stay healthy through that game, then go up to NE and beat those motherfuckers by knowing you can do it, and calling plays that show you’re not afraid. In closing, SBI now that I’m most worried about is not any particular opponent, but one particular leg.

Well said, Will....and I'm going to predict a two-score Steelers win in Foxboro. I've got to believe that Tomlin will have learned his lesson, will keep his foot on the gas, and wouldn't be totally surprised to see Steelers ahead by three scores sometime during that afternoon....I'm going with a 31-17, 31-20, 28-17 win...something on that order.

Still not ruling out Chefs beating Pats in Foxboro....SBI article will soon follow.

I don't see the Chiefs going into cheat stadium and pulling off a win. I guess it's not impossible but likely improbable. This is one the Steelers have to Take Care of Themselves I'm thinking. SBI is winning the next game in front of you. Well said, Tundralag.

SBI is for a fresh KC team to go into Cheatsville and smack them around. Having KC engage in a bloodbath with Baltimore was not SBI since either team would have been badly beaten up. I just don't see the Titans doing much against KC.

I think for KC/Tenn that the determination for winning may be which team/players are better dealing with extreme cold. This weekend will seem warm compared to what's go to be happening in the Midwest next weekend.

Posted this on the other OP....forecast I'm looking at has high temp. of 39, mostly sunny, in KC next Saturday.

Not quite agreeing with that assessment. Just because it's unlikely doesn't mean we can't root for AFCCG to be in Heinz, most likely opponent being the Chefs. It would certainly be in Steelers Best Interest (SBI) for that to occur.

KC isn't losing in Arrowhead to Marcus and his average receivers. Alex is playing his best ball ever and KC is the only other roster and coach that can win in NE. Fat Andy won't be had by NEs tricks and deceptions. They won't trust the scoreboard, they'll study every trick and analytic advantage NE has used before and be as ready as any team can be. If they lose it'll be on a call or non call in NE. There's no doubt the Hunts will get calls in KC, hope they have enough muscle for if not a clean game in NE at least some neutralizing refs. Your guys throw flags our guys throw flags.

Still have to prepare for the likely event of playing in cheatville. All I'm saying swiss.

yes..and at very least a taxing game for pats beforehand if we play them.. I like buffalos chances being a familiar foe vs pats far more then titans who have zero prayer of making a game close. but I think chiefs at least can compete with the pats a bit and maybe even beat some guys up..that said it be ok if both road dogs win and we get titans..i do like our chances vs a losing streak jags team [currently\ in Pittsburgh. with steeler revenge on our mind.

Absolutely, that's the most likely event. But...would be better if Steelers were hosting AFCCG. I'm just disputing the assessment that SBI is winning next game in front. Well yeah, absolutely it is. It's SBI though to have the next game in front of you being one you're more likely to win based on opponent and venue.

For finding parallels, here's the one thing I'm hanging my hat on - Tony Dungy, Peyton Manning and the Colts eventually found a way to beat the evil empire. I'll never forget the 2006 AFCCG when the Colts made that great comeback. Dungy and Peyton finally got that Patsie monkey off their back. It's time for Tomlin and Ben to do so if that matchup happens again.

Just watched the replay of this game as I had missed the 2nd half. Final Bungals drive presented a situation that we debated on this esteemed website following the Steelers win over the Ravens. Cinci had 1st down on Baltimore 47, trailing by 3, 1st down pass is incomplete, Cinci is penalized for illegal shift. Baltimore accepts the penalty, prioritizing yardage over downs, leaving Cinci with 1st & 15, and another shot at moving the ball, instead of 2nd & 10, and 10-15 yards away from tying FG range.

Well, we know how this story ends, it bites the Ravens in the ass. Using the "extra" play gained by Baltimore having accepted the penalty, Cinci scores on 4th & 12 from 49 yards out.
