Pens Inside Scoop

@PensInsideScoop
#Pens lines:

Sheary-Crosby-Hornqvist
Hagelin-Malkin-Kessel
Guentzel-Sheahan-Sprong
Kuhnhackl-Rowney-Reaves

Dumoulin-Letang
Cole-Schultz
Maatta-Oleksiak
Hunwick-Corrado

-MC

Thankfully Hunwick got scratched.

Jarry apparently the first goalie off the ice and will get the start. Got to give it to Sully - holding MM accountable to his poor showings and rewarding the other guy

I like this lineup. A win in PHI would calm my indigestion about this team. Go pens.

Glad Jarry is getting the start-Murray needs to watch at this juncture.

Blow up the fourth line-my new mantra for the new year.

I'm not sure about the Malkin/Kessel/Hagelin line. They haven't gotten it done in their own end recently. Hagelin or Kessel spend too much time cheating up ice. Also, but it seems like Cole is paired with that line and usually it is the sucky Cole.

The Pens have had success against Columbus this year because of the rivalry. Hopefully this rivalry(Pens/Flyers) brings out the best of the Birdies.

Guentzel has it going to start the second. He had his moments in the first.
Sprong had two wide open shots with easy feeds and he went high on both. His velocity is amazing and you have to figure if he gets looks he will tone it down and get some behind the minder.
Oletsiak has been interesting. Like what I have seen at times.

Knecny has a right to be pissed but he didn't need to take that stupid penalty.

Yup, and she shoved the defender aside of him to the ice and then knocked it in. His moment.

Knuckle 4-1

Two goals from the fourth line.
Blow up the fourth line, my new saying.

Jarry got his hand hit by the puck when he turned his blocker out. That hurts like hell there.

And hacksaw........ Shouldn't you be in bed, it's past your bedtime

I think we found a good 4th line - loved how Reaves was parking himself in front of the net - he needs to do that a lot more - hope they stick with this line.

I know everybody is saying we must get a 3rd line C, and I get it, but I would still like to try Guentzel there and get more ice time for Sprong too.

When is LeTang going to turn around? I am starting to get very concerned. He still looked like shit to me last night. Would love to trade this LeTang for a young LeTang - that's what we really need.

Hope Jarry is OK - any word on him? I think he is going to get some more playing time and that is cool with me - kid has good potential.

I believe that is the first time this season the Pens have scored 3 or more goals in a period. Glad we waxed the Flyers but I'm still plenty worried.
I love how Penguin nation suddenly thinks the fourth line is this special line. They show up for a couple of games and have ONE big one and suddenly they are the answer? Too many people giving credence to Keith Jones and his blather about Reaves. I find it funny that anyone would take that clown and what he has to say seriously.

What team is going to trade a young Letang for one that is nearly 31 years old with his injury history and shit play recently? Don't forget, Letang has a limited movement cause in his contract making it harder to move him.

And guess who was Centering that line most of the night? Sheahan. Just goes to show you how much a decent C can do. I feel like if we fix the 3C *(and push Sheahan down) we're gonna win some games and be ok
