When you have a title, any title you take that title with you at all times. People who understand that don't compromise their title and demonstrate respect for the title and the entity that's behind it. The abuse of title that we see is in direct proportion with the degree of meritocracy associated with that title. We see much abuse of title in politics because that theater has degenerated into a cesspool with little meritocracy. The OC for the Steelers carries the entire reputation of the entity with him at all times, doesn't mean they have no life, it means you are highly selective, very discreet and private. You can do whatever you want provided you never compromise yourself or your title.

Haley is beyond unworthy of the title, he's a liability to the brand's reputation and integrity and he clearly doesn't understand the responsibilities of the title when he's off the field and that invective filled diatribe, HOF QBs opinion as well as the knowledgeable fans' eyesight is evidence he doesn't understand the title on the field.

Haley should be suspended and relieved of all duties immediately pending an investigation and terminated after we win the SB. His actions indicate to me he did not gain this position exclusively by merit.

I'd be interested to know more about his intentions once he was outside; if he was going to drive, if his wife was going to drive and how drunk was Mrs Haley, if they were taking Uber or a cab. If he or his drunk wife was planning on driving it could have been a blessing that they didn't. Haley's now too flawed for Mr Rooney to keep him. Mr. Rooney has to consult with his attorneys to make sure there's no recourse back to the Steelers for some kind of wrongful termination claim because this jackass will investigate that option. As soon as possible after the season this liability needs to be dismissed.

As far as wrongful termination, I'm no lawyer but I would assume not signing him to another contract would not be seen as the same as being terminated in the eyes of the law.
