Steelers CB Artie Burns left practice after suffering a non-contact right knee injury, confirmed to @TheAthleticPIT by both Mike Hilton and Cam Sutton. Burns wasn't in the locker room following practice. Sutton would start if Burns can't go on Sunday.

This is true. I’m told the ligaments are intact. Quite a scare, though.

This is why everyone saying how “healthy” the Steelers are annoys the fuck out of me.

Unreal.

Actually, this is a real good thing, imo. Hell, Burns doesn't like to put his head in their and tackle a rb. Lining up against Fournette, this team will need tacklers. Sutton is 1000 times the tacklers Burns will ever be. I think Sutton has done a great job on the corner given his opportunity. I think Sutton would be a huge upgrade this weekend to our secondary and run defense.

I know they were going with more padded practices with more contact but come on Tomlin! The idea was that having real practices would help keep them fresh and avoid rust, but all of that is for naught if you are hurting yourselves and everybody shows up against Jax injured!

It was a non-contact injury.

Actually, his knee was contacting the ground when it happened.

So technically, you know, fuck Tomlin. ;)

I’m not upset that Tomlin had them practice in pads, I’m mad that he didn’t use enough pads. Clearly more pads means fewer injuries. I wish this coaching staff would pull its head out of its ass. Fuck Tomlin!

While we're at it, why are they practicing anyway? They're only playing the Jags. Everyone knows the real game is the following week vs the Pats. Stoopid Tomlin

Just heard on SNR, Burns has a hyper-extended knee. Limited practice for the rest of the week, but expected to play.

Hyperextended knee us scary as hell when it first happens... usually feels like nothing happened shortly afterwards.

Should that imply anything about Tuitt's status?

He's supposed to do a live Q&A with fans tomorrow. If that gets cancelled, I'd start to worry.

Tuitt was seen... Roly Poly Kaboly tweeted that Tuitt was seen after media session and was wearing no protective brace on elbow.

I only know because someone retweeted RPK... Kaboly blocked me years ago for lol ing at someone else calling him Roly Poly.

Would Tuitt's injury be something he could take a needle for and still play?

Depends. I understand its the same arm as his partial bicep tear happened on. If hes at risk for further soft tissue injury, no, they wont let him play through it. If its a new injury that doesnt put him at risk then, maybe.

My initial fear was he fully tore that bicep.

Tuitt hit his funny bone hard yesterday so they took it easy

Hargrave didn't practice, maybe getting treatment, didn't hear why
