Definitely don’t like the sound of this. Hope everything is OK.

Jarry will be fine in the short term, as you could easily argue he’s been playing better anyways, but this could make us dangerously thin if Murray ends up being out for an extended period.

Our margin for error gets thinner by the day. Definitely don’t need any more hurdles than we already have.

Something is wrong with Murray. Be it physical or mental he isn't the same player he was the past 2 seasons.
His compete level has waned the past few weeks and he looks sluggish and out of touch far too often.

Hopefully a few weeks away 'from it all' is the cure to his recent woes.

Haven’t seen a whole lot out there, really. Having hard time even getting a sense for how long it could be.

Most articles do say “indefinitely”, but some also word like he’s out today and could be back with the team any day after.

I really have no idea.

Good friend of mine said the Pens would rue the day MAF left. I scoffed at him. I am scoffing no more.

Maybe Vegas will give him back.

Fortunately, Jarry has stepped up.

Shit happens over time. The Pens made a decision at the time, and MAF was the forced, odd man out.

Sure. Rewind if you can, but life just doesn't work that way.

Not sure they had better choices at the time.

This isn't the first time an NHL goalie has taken some time off for personal reasons and it's a way for them to mentally reset. I'm praying for Murray's family this is indeed the case

Thankfully when other goalies have taken this break they've come back with improved results

Totally random question but if he misses enough time and comes back for the playoffs would he still be considered a rookie again? Like if we get into the playoffs and win a 3rd straight could he be a 3 time rookie Stanley Cup Champion goaltender?

No, you can only be in contention for the Calder once
