This is the place to talk about your picks, the other teams' picks, possible trades, and so on.

It will start Monday, March 5th-- although no clock on picks until Tuesday morning at 9am Eastern. Loose clock for first day or so.

The draft will go all 7 rounds, including expected comp picks, and there will be a 2 hour time limit. Trades of players under contract or 2017 picks (including comp picks) will be allowed, although they should be approved by me, SP, or anyone else who wants the hassle of trying to help run this draft. The main incentive of going quickly is that we can do a second draft before the real draft day.

The last three years we have set records, with 2016's 13 days, 10 hours, 16 minutes being an all-time record until 2017's start at Tue Mar 07, 2017 1:12 pm and finish at Mon Mar 20, 2017 1:07 pm... 12 days, 23 hours, and 55 minutes.

Caveat: I'm not sure I have enough time and energy to put as much time in prompting people and updating the thread, but then again I said the same thing last year and the year before that.

This is my favorite thing we do here, and I hope we can keep the tradition going for some time.

Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions or offers of help. Appreciated.

I'm assuming B2B wants to play Colbert and I'll jump the gun and take Seattle.

FC, if you want the Hawks just make the call and I'll take another squad.

What's a bummer is that I don't have time anymore. Between work and recently going back to school to finish up my education I can't participate. Be sure to look in on the annual board GM mock draft though.

I generally do better than their real GM.

Colts will be shopping their pick. Anyone need a QB?

If Luck can't go they could still go with Brissett ( who is not horrible). They need so many positions that getting more picks makes sense for them.

Great to see this topic again, love it.

I can roll with the Ravens if no one has taken them yet.

that's all the teams for now... if anyone drops out, I have two alternates-- let me know if you want to be added to that list. Cheers.

Alternates get priority for draft #2.

Honestly, I think Foles is a PERFECT choice for Cleveland and Haley/Hue. Trade for Foles at a reasonable price, draft two of barkley-minkah, nelson, rouquan... or three of them with a trade down. Then take a flyer on a less-hyped QB like Rudolph-Lauletta-Allen later.

If we're talking Josh Allen, I think he could find himself gone in Round 1 this year. Not because I'm sold on him as a legit NFL starter per se (even though his previous season's tape, before all the defections on the offensive side of the ball, was actually pretty good), but because QB is going to be overdrafted as usual.

Sorry, meant Kyle Allen from Houston.

Josh Allen has the most NFL upside of any QB in this draft. Period. End of sentence. Sure, he has issues and could easily be derailed by a bad staff or bad team but he's at least got more going for him than Darnold, Rosen, and Mayfield.

Paxton Lynch has off-the-field issues that I didn't know about and that totally sabotaged his career. He's not as good as his good tape from college showed and you were right.

Josh Allen isn't great, but he's had moments.

Darnold and especially Rosen will fail in Cleveland-- Rosen because he's a dome QB with insufficient arm strength to throw by the lake in bad weather and Darnold because he seems to be getting worse by the day as a passer. I don't see either guy zipping the ball into a tight seam window, let alone hitting an NFL hole shot vs cover 2 or over top of the LB in front of the safety. Way too much air/touch on the ball for both guys, throwing to mostly wide open guys in college.

I like Mayfield's makeup and leadership... but I don't see him having the size or the game to get good looks and put the ball in NFL tight windows.

I don't really trust any of them to do that out of the gate.

Which is why I said: Foles to the Browns makes the most sense if Wentz will be able to start the season.

By the way, Greek, the only QBs in the draft I've actually liked to be great were:

Marino
Elway
Kordell
Ben
Rivers
Mahomes

I did okay. Kordell had some moments where it looked like he was going to be a superstar. Just never cleared the hump and got jerked around a little with the parade of OCs/being ahead of his time. Like, how good would young Kordell be in an 2018 era offense?

I definitely think Allen is being punished on this year's tape due to the fact that all the offensive losses between last season and this one are being overlooked. He's got a lot of talent.

My list is shorter for QBs
Ben
Russell Wilson
Elway
Brees

Those are the ones I picked out from college to be good in the NFL and was right. 3 out of 4 I saw play live.

I have zero confidence in Mayfield. He has trouble throwing into tight windows. Watch him in the Oka St. and Iowa St. games. I like Allen but he has some issues. I like Nick Fitzgerald but he is not coming out. I like 3 freshman this year Tagovailoa, Fromm and McKenzie ( CFU).

Bidding is hot and heavy for the first overall pick. Don’t miss out!
