Le'Veon Bell said on Instagram Live that he won't sit out the 2018 season if he doesn't have a long-term contract, but he will miss training camp. "It's just a re-run of last year," he said. https://twitter.com/JFowlerESPN/status/ ... 9633180673
Tomlin has taught his players well. Do what you do, if you will.

That doesn't even make sense.

Pretty much every player in the league that gets tagged sits out camp.

It's the only bargaining chip they have.

It's also smart, because you avoid a training camp or preseason injury. Bell came in just fine last year after camp. Just ask Colbert.

What's wrong with Tomlin's leadership: Bell went on to say that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has told him a few times that if it were up to him, he’d hand a blank check to the running back to write what he wants on it.

What would you like the Head Coach to say to his stud RB?

I'd like to see Tomlin show leadership and manage the player and his expectations, rather than the hand job "I'd give you a blank check" is.

Tomlin's job is to make that player confident and successful.

Sign and trade him to Oakland or Tampa Bay. Use the money to get a stud ILB.

And inflating the ego and sense of value, which leads to not signing long-term and skipping camp, aids the above how?

Is there ANYTHING you will actually hold Tomlin accountable for?

Yes. 4th and a few inches. Playoff game.

Let’s pitch it to Bell. Run it wide against a quick D.

I see what you’re saying....put him in a position to succeed.
